- Pregnant Women. It's not specifically know why, but pregnant women are in the higher risk group for getting hemorrhoids. Whilst the reason is not clear, statistics can confirm they are more at risk.
- Age 45 - 46 as one ages, the tissue supporting the hemorrhoids weeakens and can detach itself from the anal canal walls.
- Obese people - People who are considerably overweight are also at risk from developing hemorrhoids.
Forcing of stools - Trying in with insufficient fiber, hard stools can lead to constipation and thus too much straining being required to take a bowel movement.
